Children’s Liturgy Of The Word

Purpose:  To help children understand the message of the Gospel proclaimed at Mass on Sunday so they develop a basic understanding of the Scriptures and how it relates to their lives.
Activities: Children in grades k-5 are sent forth during the Liturgy of the Word to listen and discuss the Sunday readings at their level.  The children return to the main assembly during the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Where:  In the Parish Hall.
When:  Year round during the 10:00 a.m. Mass, except for the first Sunday of the month.
Time commitment: For a leader, small amount of time for preparation and then attendance at the scheduled Mass.  For helpers, you are asked to attend the Mass for which you are scheduled.  There is a team rotation so it is not every week.
