Habitat For Humanity

Purpose: To eliminate poverty housing in partnership with families in need.
Activities:  Building safe, decent, and affordable homes with low-income families as faith-based partners.
Where:  We are currently focused on our 62-home development in Pacoima (20 homes now completed!) and have more local activities such as fund raising, public affairs, etc.
When:  Volunteer activities are generally based on weekend “Build Days” plus other outreach activities including presentations to partnering faith communities, businesses, community service groups, etc.
Time commitment:  “Build Days” are approximately 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., and other activities vary and are often adaptable to volunteer availability.
