ADOPT-A-FAMILY CHRISTMAS 2023 UPDATE
As we turn the calendar page to a new year, the St. Jude’s Adopt-A-Family team wishes to thank you for supporting our annual AAF Christmas project that was held early in December. What a generous response we had this year!
More than 400 St. Jude’s families and individuals contributed gifts and donations.
Nearly 800 gift boxes were dropped off and numerous donations were received that were distributed to Catholic Charities in Ventura and Moorpark, Many Mansions, St. Malachy Catholic Church, Harbor House, and St. Vincent DePaul.
More than 900 children were at the receiving end of the gift boxes and gift cards.
Parishioner contributions included: dozens of beautifully hand-knitted scarves and hats donated, 100 cuddly teddy bears donated, a generous financial donation presented by the Knights of Columbus, the St. Jude’s school community and Faith Formation ministry adopted dozens of children.
Numerous volunteers, both families and individuals, gave their time on collection day helping to unload and stack drop-off donations, and fill and expertly wrap stacks and stacks of gifts boxes!
Because of your ongoing support, the Christmas Adopt-A-Family ministry continues to spread a faithful and caring message to those amongst us that are in need. Many thanks!
