St. Jude’s Faith Formation is dedicated to supporting the faith journey of all our parishioners. We are committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in the Catholic tradition through knowledge of the faith, Sacramental Preparation, liturgical celebrations, prayer, involvement in parish life and outreach. We provide formal education for youth until they are confirmed as well as a range of opportunities for adults in order to support the lifelong process of growing closer to God.
The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA, formerly RCIA),also called the Catechumenate, is a process of initiation into the Catholic Community of Faith for persons who are experiencing a conversion in their lives and seeking either Christian baptism in the Catholic Church or full Communion with the Catholic tradition of Eucharist and Confirmation. The OCIA is more than a course of instruction. It is a conversion process, designed to meet the unique and individual needs of the participants.. You are welcome to stop in on Sundays at 9 a.m. to inquire with Barbara or Seth Wegher-Thompson. Look for the AHA: Ask Her Anything signs on the hospitality patio or contact Seth (805-657-7085) or Barbara 805-657-6480 Their goal is to provide a place for you to ask question, gain some clarity into your journey and explore the Catholic faith.
