Next Collection: November 16 from 9am-10am in the church parking lot. For the Thanksgiving holiday, St. Vincent De Paul has requested pancake mix / syrup and boxed mashed potatoes.
It’s safe to say that at least 10% of households in LA and Ventura counties are food insecure. That means that on any given day, the members of one of those households may not have enough food to go around. Our monthly drive-thru food collections are meant to help those households.
On the third Saturday of each month from 9-10, you can drive up and drop off your non-perishable food items and/or monetary donations in the church parking lot. We send the food donations to local food agencies for distribution. We deposit the monetary donations in an account where we purchase specific items needed by the local food agencies.
There are many ways you and your family can help:

1. Set aside some food each month. Drop it off at the collection. 
2. If you have little ones, maybe have them pick out an item or two at the grocery store to donate. It can be amazing to see what they pick out and why. 
3. Send in a check or donate on the St Jude WeShare site (select the Loaves and Fishes Ministry). Or Click here donate online
4. Come volunteer on any third Saturday from 8:30 to 11:00. This qualifies for service hours for our teens. All are welcome!
5. If you can’t make it on Saturday, feel free to drop off any donations at the Parish office. 
6. Sometimes during the year, we get requests from local food agencies for specific items.  For this November collection, St. Vincent De Paul has requested donations of pancake mix/syrup and boxed mashed potatoes.
